UMPG sells 100% pure moringa oil
There are over 1000 UMPG farmers currently harvesting approximately 7-10 metric tonnes of moringa oleifera seeds per month. The rate of yield from monthly harvests is set to increase as more farmers increase their acreage and new trees begin to flower.
The farmers have able to collect approximately 10 metric tons of moringa at present, with a planned ramp up to 30-40 ton per month by the end of 2010.
UMPG plans on value-added product lines. The first of which will be cold-pressed moringa oil for domestic and international markets. UMPG is currently running sample trials of cold-pressed oil. Full scale oil production started in late 2010 and will be increasing in capacity throughout 2010.
